Last year, the Ministry of Education funded a small group of experienced DT teachers to develop eight teaching and learning programmes that exemplify great practice in delivering the new curriculum at NCEA level 1. You can access them here:https://seniorsecondary.tki.org.nz/Technology/Digital-technologies/Teaching-and-learning-programmes  We are keen to build on this resource and are now inviting proposals for similar programmes at NCEA level 2, with level 3 to be developed next year.

We are keen to hear from teachers already doing or planning to do great things with the new curriculum, with an emphasis on inspiring and supporting other DT teachers, including those who are new to teaching DT, to stand on their shoulders.

If your proposal fits the brief, we will fund your school $7,500 to allow you to prepare a detailed programme, complete with assessment task and all resources. You will work with Cognition Education to develop your programme to a high standard and be supported by their project management and editing team to do so. We are aiming to have the programmes published in January 2020 ready for use by the wider DT&HM community.

If you are keen to share your expertise and create a quality resource, please review the brief and submit your proposal by Sunday, May 5 (end of Term 2, week 1) here: https://tinyurl.com/yy7la4zk
