Description

Are you tired of kids wasting their time with computer games? Do you wish kids spent their time learning something useful? What about learning communication skills, collaboration and empathy, by designing and playing their own computer games?

Come along to this 30 minute webinar to discover authentic and easy ways to weave Digital Technologies into the curriculum using both unplugged and online activities. The Te Papa Learning Team will share how they weave Digital Technology into learning programmes at the museum. Take away an activity challenge from Monday's session for your students to try during this week and then come to one of the meetups on Friday 4th to share your successes and failures.

  • Part 1 - Monday 14th September, 3.30 - 4.30pm
  • Part 2 - Friday 18th September, 1.00 - 1.30pm
  • Part 2 REPEAT - Friday 18th September, 3.30 - 4.00pm

There will be time at the end of the webinar for questions and discussion.

This virtual meetup is aligned to the Ministry of Education’s digital technologies implementation support tool and starts at 'now underway'. It supports you to unpack the detail, get organised for change, through being '2020 ready', to 'leading and innovating', by supporting you to feel confident with an Ako style of teaching and learning.
